This Privacy Policy explains how Maison Ventures Limited (“Maison”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you access the Maison website, mobile applications, or related services (the “Platform”). This Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

• Referral details you submit (names and contact info of people you refer, with their consent)

• Profile and project data (renovation needs, region or “patch,” budget, photos, reviews, comments)

• Vendor business data (company name, licence or insurance information, service categories, pricing ranges)

• Technical and usage data (IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, cookies, and similar technologies)

• Marketing preferences (opt-in or opt-out status for emails or notifications)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or territory.

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform

• Connect homeowners with Vendors and facilitate communication

• Respond to questions, support requests, or complaints

• Send service notices, security alerts, and CASL-compliant marketing messages (you may unsubscribe at any time)

• Analyse usage patterns and develop new features

• Enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations

3. Legal Bases for Processing

• Consent – referrals, marketing emails, optional cookies

• Contract – providing the Platform under the Terms

• Legitimate interests – security, analytics, product development (balanced against your privacy rights)

• Legal obligation – record-keeping or disclosures required by law

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only as necessary:

• With Vendors you choose to contact

Maison and many of our processors use cloud infrastructure outside Canada. Your data may therefore be stored or processed in another jurisdiction and may be subject to lawful access by foreign courts or authorities. We use contractual safeguards and industry-standard security to protect it.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it, but no system is perfectly secure.
